Late Laugh Trip Night with Vice Ganda and Company | 07.21.2012
After a week of stress and no night outs because me and my sister took care of Mama in the hospital, I need a good laugh. I then decided to watch the Vice Ganda Show.
My rating would have been 100% but there were comments not for Vice Ganda but for the organizing team. Makes the rating 90%. Not bad anyways.
I witnessed the Vice Ganda Show last night, July 21, 2012 at the new University of Southeastern Philippines(USeP) Gymnasium. Good thing me and three of my friends went there at about 7:00pm(start of the show as what’s in the ticket). Some people I knew who came early suffered the long chaotic line(sometimes it’s good to be not on time). Before one can enter the doors, the tickets must be verified first. The first time in my whole life to watch a show where one has to go to a window to have the tickets be verified before going to the almost-not moving-line. Maybe this is how people with the general admission ticket is being treated.
We finally meet our friends inside after surviving the chaotic line at the entrance. When the show started, ahw! This is not good! Not so good! Hello guys! It’s Vice Ganda’s Show! Did you check the audio system? I don’t know which went too much. Is it the bass? Or the echo? Or which? And the speakers are just placed near the stage. It’s a big big place. You could have put at least some at the middle so that the people at the back could clearly hear what those people on stage are talking about. Oh it must be the echo.
The show started with a variety of performance, then with a fashion show. Until it’s almost eleven in the evening. Some of the people in the crowd got bored. I am into fashion shows! But of course, not everyone in the crowd’s interested in that. They want Vice! So they keep on shouting and yelling Vice’s name.
There were comedians before the Vice Ganda show proper. Yes, they made the crowd laugh hard despite the sound system’s deficiencies. Thanks to them.
When Vice Ganda came out, the crowd that filled the gymnasium went standing and yelling, welcoming her! Wow! Despite the bad sound system, the people managed to laugh hard. It was really a good laugh for me and others. Vice Ganda’s talents stunningly wipe away problems and worries for a while. You should watch her in her shows. Never lose the opportunity to be at her shows. It’s UNKABOGABLE!
To the organizing team, please bear in mind that chaotic lines at the entrance door may and can happen in shows(but please next time don’t make it hard for those ticket buyers) and no matter how simple the arrangement of the venue is, one factor that wins the heart of the people is the audio system. Sound check, sound check, sound check. Check in every angle, please. I may not be a professional organizer but what I tell you can help you. Please consider it as constructive criticism. I am not pulling you down. I know nobody’s perfect but you can make it better and if it’s better, make it to the best. Good luck to your future events!
Vice Ganda apologized for the delay of her show – for appearing late. Her costume was left in Manila and was sent through air cargo which, was also delayed due to flight delays resulted by bad weather. And despite the delays [whatever the reasons behind the delays], the crowd waited for her and stayed until the end of the show. The show ended with Adele’s “Set Fire to the Rain” at almost 1:30am. “Kahit ano pa siguro ang suot mo vice, di naman alam ng mga tao na hindi yun ang dapat na isuot mo. Kering-keri mo naman, diba? Good Job! Salamat! “
- More than half of the gymnasium was occupied. Lots of people. The crowd obviously loves Vice Ganda.

Philippines

sad about the delay
people waited too long.. bad organizations. sana i anticipate nla ang crowd. pg GA ba dbale nang walang marinig? lol that happens a lot. so ung mga VIPs lng ang ngeenjoy. anyway vice will always be unkabogable!
grabe talaga… may ahng over pa kami sa sama ng loob hahahaha… Di pa namin alam kung sinong organizers. as in sana mabasa nila ito… at least i am just being honest… thanks for dropping by…
Too bad for the delay. Vice would have carried the show even if he was on his regular show but being the comedian Vice is, I’m sure he made up for it with a lot of laughter.
I’ve also got the chance to watch Vice last July 18 on his concert at South Cotabato.. Ganun din, grabe ang pila, but it’s worth it naman.. At least the venue was I guess better than Davao’s, no prob sa sounds.
Some organizers just do not know how to organize.
They should always prioritize the safety of all people. Anyhoo, I’ve never watched Vice Ganda live and I would really love to watch her. She makes me laugh on tv, what more if it’s a show like this.
It must be frustrating to wait for that long especially if you are too excited to watch the main act. Good thing Vice was able to pull it off in the end
I enjoy his (her) humor! LOL! Just don’t want to be the center of it..hahaha!!
I don’t think you are criticizing them, in fact, it would even help them more in their future shows. More so that it is a must that sound check is the first thing that they need to do after the sounds are set-up. It is more chaotic if there isn’t any sound coming from the speaker.
