Show Your Love to Mother Earth, Support Earth Hour Campaign
Earth Hour is organised by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). With almost 5 million supporters and a global network in over 100 countries/territories, it’s one of the world’s largest and most respected independent conservation organisations. WWF’s mission is to stop the degradation of the Earth’s natural environment and build a future where people live in harmony with nature.
“They say great things start from small things.” Then why don’t we start from ourselves and help the world? Let us do simple things to help OUR world in its battle against climate change. I myself pledged “not to burned plastics” because burning plastics can harm the ozone layer that protects us from the deadly heat of the sun. Simple thing to do, right? What’s your pledge?
Come March 31,2012 at 8:30PM, let us join other countries and support the Earth Hour Campaign to stand against climate change by “switching off” our lights for one hour. We are also encouraged to make pledge within ourselves on what we can do to this planet Beyond the Hour.
In Davao City, the City Government and other Organizations will gather at Magsaysay Park and some Private Sectors/Organizations will gather at SM South Grounds. You may also join them if you feel like joining.
Please support the campaign… simply, because our future depends on it. Let us work together to create a better future for our planet.
See yah!

I’m so glad that you’ve blogged and supported the earth hour.
Kudos to the blogger like you.
I almost forgot about this event for this year. Before, we used to do in my dorm the switching off the lights when 8 PM strikes, and I didn’t even know that the whole Cebu was as serious as anyone else was in the world. It’s nice that Pinoys are jumping on the bandwagon for the right cause.
I didn’t know this. All I know was Earth Day. Yes, we should cooperate to this one because “THIS” would really help our world.
Hey! My family and I have been participating in this campaign for 4 years now. Malaking tulong talaga kahit papaano yung one-hour na no electricity use.
Earth hour is coming near.
Last year we joined the earth hour at Eastwood, Libis in Quezon City.
As of this moment, we still don’t have plans yet but, we will definitely give our share wherever we may be.
I agree with what you wrote in the beginning – Great things start from small beginnings. This is really very significant to me.
May all the world join the Earth Hour.
There’s also an event at Seawall (dun kay David) organized by JCI. =) May lantern lighting daw dun. I haven’t decided yet whether I’ll join the activities or just stay at home on the 31st. Honestly, I’m really afraid of the dark so I think it’s much much safer for me to be at home when the lights turn out. Hehehe!
..i will be in Davao sa 31
I remember doing it before. And I came from Davao also. ^^ Nice post, kabayan.
